What to Expect from a Sales Recruiter at Optimal Sales Search

Please understand we do receive numerous sales resumes daily. We do review all resume submissions personally, but do not call or email every applicant. Although it might feel like your resume is being submitted into the proverbial “black hole,” your resume has been “eyeballed” by one of our sales recruiters. Your resume is automatically entered into our database and will be reviewed over the days, months and years for all relevant positions.

Resume submissions are confidential. Resumes are not be sent to employers without prior consent.

Since you’re a sales person, you should know that headhunters work for the employer. Our clients generally have very specific requirements and come to us when they have positions that warrant specialized industry experience and/or a specific rolodex. Many employers are asking us to find a “needle in the sales haystack” and are not willing to pay us a recruitment fee for what they perceive to be out of industry or general selling skills.

Those of you who believe “sales is sales,” may indeed be corret, however, this is not a philosophy which is practiced by the majority of our clients.
